Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust requires a full-time Domestic Assistant to join the team at East Grinstead. The role runs 37.5 hours per week, 12:00–20:00 shifts, and offers NHS benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and literacy are required.
• Experience in a service/customer environment is essential.
• Knowledge of safe and hygienic cleaning duties and standards.
• Experience in the use of mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Experience of working within a team is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for staff, patients and visitors in line with NHS standards.
• Keep all floors and surfaces clean and well maintained daily.
• Replenish consumables and manage waste in designated areas.
• Adhere to infection control and health and safety requirements at all times.
