Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Divisional Governance Coordinator to support data, information and knowledge management across the Division. You will work with the Divisional Triumvirate, Directorate Managers and Quality Managers to uphold patient safety and drive continuous improvement.

  • A level or equivalent experience required.
  • GCSE Maths and English essential.
  • EDCL qualification or equivalent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with colleagues at all levels.
  • IT literate with experience using NHS/Trust Systems.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.

  • Experience of incident and risk management.
  • Experience of using incident and risk reporting systems (e.g. Ulysses).
  • Demonstrable understanding of Divisional Governance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Divisional escalation procedures.
  • Experience of and understanding of Neighbourhood Care Division services.
  • Experience of using Trust software systems including HISS / Maxims/ PAS /Alert / LabCentre/EMIS/Nexus Patient Record.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Divisional Governance Manager with administrative tasks relating to the wider quality and governance agenda such as: ensuring incident reports are closed within Trust timescales, collating information for quality improvement action plans, obtaining patient information and case-notes, collating information to support Duty of Candour requirements, supporting the risk management function as required.
  • Coordinate information requests for CQC inspections and other regulatory assessments and assist with submission of information to regulators.
  • Support divisional complaint management and contribute to ensuring patient safety and continuous improvement within the division.
