Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic dental nurses to join the Floor 1 Restorative Dental Nursing Team at Birmingham Dental Hospital. The role involves chair-side assistance, clerical duties, and delivering high-quality patient care across the Dental Service.

The position may require working across sites with a Friday shift, supporting Clinicians, Apprentices and Undergraduates, and providing pre/post operative instructions and oral health education.

Qualifications

• Chair-side assistance to clinicians in the dental service.
• Carry out clerical and administrative duties to ensure efficient operation of the clinic/department.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and confidentiality across dental clinics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor patients for dental treatment and provide pre/post operative instructions.
• Undertake general care of the surgery including equipment and instruments; arrange repairs as required.
• Ensure medical emergency drugs and equipment are available and up to date.
• Provide chair-side assistance during general anaesthetic sessions as required.
• Deliver oral health education to patients and support clinicians including apprentices and undergraduates.
