Job summary

Experis is seeking a Project Manager for NHS Data & Research Projects, based in the South of England on a Hybrid basis. The role is contract and ASAP start, requiring urgent delivery of complex NHS data and research initiatives across multiple environments.

The successful candidate will lead planning, manage dependencies and governance, and engage stakeholders across NHS organisations and research teams. Experience with Agile and Waterfall methods and strong governance knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven NHS data project experience (essential).
• Understanding of governance and legislation in NHS data projects.
• Ability to deliver at pace in a complex environment.
• Experience managing stakeholders across multiple organisations.
• PRINCE2 / equivalent project management qualification or practitioner level.
• Experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience creating and reporting standard project artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of complex NHS data and research projects.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and deliverables.
• Engage and coordinate stakeholders across NHS organisations, research teams, clinical services and technical environments.
• Work with technical specialists to understand project requirements, dependencies and potential delivery challenges.
• Navigate research governance requirements and relevant legislation and guidance.
• Prepare, maintain and report on project documentation and standard project artefacts.
• Analyse complex technical and project information, presenting findings clearly to audiences with varying levels of technical understanding.
• Identify project risks and issues, developing appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies.
• Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, depending on project requirements.
• Ensure delivery remains aligned with agreed objectives, governance requirements and timescales.
