Job summary

York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management LLP is seeking a part-time Cleaning Operative (Band 2) in Easingwold to uphold hygiene standards in designated areas. No prior experience required as full training is provided. The post operates on a four-week rota, with potential for additional hours.

The role is within the NHS Trust, offering many employee benefits and opportunities for development. Working hours are 30 per week with a fixed shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Good basic education including reading, writing and basic numeric skills.
• Willingness to complete appropriate qualifications or training relevant to the role.
• BICSc Qualification/NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning/Catering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness levels in a designated ward/area according to the work schedule.
• Undertake specialist cleaning as directed by supervisor or infection prevention team.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and store materials securely.
• Apply colour-coded equipment to prevent cross contamination.
