York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (LLP) is seeking a flexible Cleaning Operative for the Easingwold Renal Unit. The role involves maintaining cleanliness across designated areas, following schedules, and using cleaning machinery safely.

Experience is not essential as full training will be provided, and there is a 30-hour weekly rota. Applicants should be able to read and converse in English and be prepared to complete required COSHH, infection control and cleaning procedures training.

Qualifications

• Good basic education including reading, writing and numeric skills.
• Willingness to complete relevant qualifications or training relevant to the role.
• BICSc Qualification/NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning/Catering or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Maintaining cleanliness levels across a designated area.
• Cleaning according to the work schedule for the assigned area, including lifting and operating cleaning machinery.
• Undertaking specialist cleaning under supervision and/or infection prevention guidance.
• Using cleaning equipment safely to prevent injury and ensure proper storage of materials.
• Using colour-coded equipment to prevent cross contamination.
