Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for our NHS Nursing Home in Rayleigh, Essex. You will support residents with daily living needs within a Recovery Model framework and work as part of the nursing team to ensure high standards of care.

The role involves direct resident care, adherence to care plans, and reporting changes to senior staff. Applicants should be enthusiastic, a team player, and capable of managing pressure; sponsorship is not offered

Qualifications

• Must provide direct resident care in a care home setting.
• Support residents with daily living needs as per care plans.
• Report changes to qualified staff promptly.
• Able to work as part of a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a tidy, welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve care quality.
• Plan and implement care programmes with the unit team.
• Keep accurate, confidential resident records under supervision.
• Be flexible, willing to undertake allocated tasks.
• Assist with infection control and housekeeping duties.
• Work shifts including early, late, nights, weekends, holidays.
