Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Team Leader for the Specialist Community Forensic Team. You will lead a multidisciplinary group delivering recovery-oriented mental health care, working on-site in Prestwich and collaborating with partner agencies.

The role requires strong leadership, balance of service development and day-to-day operational oversight, and participation in senior leadership to drive improvements and ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience of mental health inpatient/community work.
• Experience of MDT working.
• Advanced leadership and management experience.
• Experience of working in secure mental health services.
• Experience of developing others.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational management and development of a multi-disciplinary community-based team.
• Participate in the senior leadership team and contribute to service development.
• Supervise clinical staff including appraisals, sickness/absence, and training oversight.
• Regularly chair clinical and operational meetings with colleagues.
• Provide specialist advice contributing to diagnosis, care or education of patients/clients.
• Screen referrals and allocate cases to relevant professionals.
• Participate in the service on-site/on-call rota as required.
