Job summary

Churchill Group is seeking an NHS Ambulance Make Ready Operative in Guildford. You will support the make-ready of ambulances and patient transport vehicles, ensuring deep cleaning to infection-control standards and proper stock coordination.

Role requires a C1 licence and DBS clearance, with a 06:00 to 18:00 shift and 46 hours per week. Churchill offers training and development opportunities within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• DBS clearance required as part of NHS compliance.
• C1 driving licence/certification required for field operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ambulances, rapid response cars and patient transport vehicles to infection control standards.
• Test medical equipment deployed on Trust vehicles to ensure readiness.
• Replace used or broken Make Ready packs and reseal response bags.
• Maintain safe, clean environments in line with Churchill's policies.

Cleaning is Churchill’s largest long-established business area and as an Ambulance Cleaner & Stock Co-ordinator you will have the all-important duty of preparing ambulances, rapid response cars and patient transport vehicles to an approved standard, which includes deep cleaning to an infection control standard. You’ll be part of a friendly team, all working together to create outstandingly clean and safe environments that make our clients happy.

As NHS Ambulance Make Ready Operative- C1 Required you will be looking after Chertsey MRC and will test all medical equipment deployed on the Trust’s vehicles to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and in working order, replacing all used or broken Make Ready packs and to replace the response bags with repacked and ready to use sealed bags.
