Job description

We are searching for a warm, out-going and passionate Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy and vibrant practice in Newry City centre. We are based in the heart of Newry which sits amidst the natural splendour of the Mourne Mountains and the Ring of Gullion, making it the perfect base to enjoy and explore all of Ireland.

We are a close-knit team who all chip in together to ensure that we hit the highest standards and have fun while we do so. As a mixed practice, it’s essential you understand the way of life of our pet owners and farmers. We’ll give you excellent backup and support along the way to achieve this. Our team cohesion is strong and includes locals who know the area. We’re passionate about our community, and work together to ensure we provide a top service that is catered specifically to our neighbours and clients.

The role sees you work a 1 in 4 OOH rota and 1 in 4 weekends, with a small radius of cover. Monday to Friday you’ll work a 9am-5:30pm week.

An attractive salary in the range of £40,000 to £60,000 is on offer depending on experience, with a view to becoming part of the practice management team in the future.
