Job summary

Gi Group is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver to safely operate the company vehicle, load, transport and deliver parcels to depots, hubs and customers. Newly qualified drivers are accepted for this role.

You will adhere to safety procedures, perform daily vehicle checks and complete paperwork accurately while maintaining professional interactions with colleagues and customers. This role requires physical outdoor work and compliance with waste handling protocols.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Category C licence (Class 2), Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ability to use mobile IT equipment and complete daily paperwork accurately.
• Clear communication with supervisors, colleagues and customers.
• Understanding of safe and legal HGV driving including Working Time and tachograph rules.
• Knowledge of daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.

Responsibilities

• Drive/operate vehicles in line with safety procedures and legal requirements.
• Load, transport and tip waste materials at designated facilities.
• Complete required training and Driver Induction as needed.
• Maintain clean and presentable vehicles and perform daily checks.
• Engage politely with colleagues, customers and other personnel.
• Follow reporting procedures and company policies.
