Gi Group UK is seeking HGV Class 2 Drivers for a major UK parcel-delivery company. You will drive company vehicles, load and deliver parcels to depots, hubs and customers, ensuring safety and accuracy.

Newly qualified drivers welcome. PAYE rates are £20.20 per hour with 2200 starts, inclusive of holiday pay. The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card. Training is provided and opportunities to advance.

Qualificações

• Must hold a valid Category C licence (Class 2), Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Able to use mobile IT equipment, follow reporting procedures, complete daily paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, controllers, colleagues, customers and members of the public
• Understanding of safe and legal HGV driving, including Working Time requirements, tachograph rules, official break requirements and company procedures.
• Knowledge of daily vehicle checks, basic defect reporting and the importance of maintaining vehicle roadworthiness.
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental requirements when loading, transporting, unloading and tipping waste and recycling materials.
• Experience of, or ability to undertake, physical outdoor work including moving bins, handling recycling containers and working in all weather conditions.
• Experience of waste, recycling, cleansing or commercial collections operations is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake any training / instruction required to carry out these duties and or deemed necessary to fulfil the role (Including Driver Induction)
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles and equipment to a high standard, including daily vehicle checks on any vehicle driven
• To deal with colleagues, customers and other personnel in a polite, responsible and professional manner
• To comply with all reporting procedures.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• To drive / operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and legal requirements and as required by the company in accordance with the valid licence, experience and training for that vehicle / equipment
