Over the course of your two-year training contract, you'll complete four six-month seats, gaining hands on experience across at least three different teams while developing the skills and confidence needed to succeed as a solicitor.
Our Newcastle training contract allows you to gain experience and develop your expertise with access to seats in all three sectors: Business Services, Health and Marine.
What you need to know
To be eligible to apply, you must be able to commence your training contract in September 2029 and begin SQE studies in 2028. This means you will likely need to be in the second year of a law or non-law degree to be eligible.
Insight Day
In conjunction with your training contract application, you can apply to attend an insight day in the UK office you have applied to. While attendance is optional, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this valuable opportunity where you can gain insight into our business groups, meet the people you could potentially work alongside and develop a deeper understanding of our clients, sector and culture.
SQE and LPC
Before starting your training contract, you’ll complete both SQE 1 and SQE 2 through BARBRI’s market-leading preparation programme.
If you have already completed the LPC, you won’t be required to complete the SQE.
