At Hill Dickinson, we believe the best lawyers are those who are genuinely passionate about the sectors they work in. That's why our unique training contract allows you to tailor your experience and develop your expertise in the areas that interest you most.
Over the course of your two-year training contract, you'll complete four six-month seats, gaining hands on experience across at least three different teams while developing the skills and confidence needed to succeed as a solicitor.
From the outset, your seats will be aligned to one of our specialist business groups. In London, you can experience a sector-specific training contract in Business Services, Marine or Health.
To be eligible to apply, you must be able to commence your training contract in September 2029 and begin SQE studies in 2028. This means you will likely need to be in the second year of a law or non-law degree to be eligible.
In conjunction with your training contract application, you can apply to attend an insight day in the UK office you have applied to. While attendance is optional, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this valuable opportunity where you can gain insight into your chosen business group, meet the people you could potentially work alongside and develop a deeper understanding of our clients, sector and culture.
Before starting your training contract, you’ll complete both SQE 1 and SQE 2 through BARBRI’s market-leading preparation programme.
If you have already completed the LPC, you won’t be required to complete the SQE.
