Job summary

You will design and build data pipelines, ensure data quality and availability, and continuously improve systems while exploring new technologies to boost performance and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years' experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
• A minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science or a quantitative discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing data-intensive applications and pipelines.
• Familiarity with Spark and Databricks.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with Airflow and CI/CD practices.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative communication.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing sophisticated data pipelines to integrate data from internal and external sources.
• Building, testing and maintaining reliable, high-performance data products.
• Ensuring data quality, integrity and availability across data platforms.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and continuously improving existing systems.
• Working closely with data scientists, consultants and clients to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Exploring new technologies and approaches to improve data accessibility, scalability and performance.
