Job summary

Noir in Newcastle is seeking a Data Engineer to help build and optimise data pipelines and the central data platform for our FinTech client. You will ensure complex datasets are accessible, reliable, and valuable for investment decisions.

You will design, test, and maintain pipelines from multiple data sources using SQL, Python, AWS, and Airflow while collaborating with stakeholders across the business in a fully office-based Newcastle environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• 2:1+ degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Direct experience in the hedge fund sector is essential.
• Strong ability to design and build data pipelines across multiple sources.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with exposure to AWS.
• Familiar with Git and Airflow for version control and orchestration.
• Proven testing and troubleshooting skills to improve reliability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
