Job summary

Momentum Training in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Construction Tutor to plan and deliver engaging construction training for a diverse learner group. You will combine industry experience with teaching skills to deliver both classroom-based and practical sessions that build employability in the construction sector.

The role requires a strong focus on learner progression, safety, and assessment; knowledge of retrofit-related skills is desirable.

Qualifications

Strong practical experience in the construction industry and a teaching background is essential.
A recognised teaching or training qualification is desirable or willingness to work towards one.
You will maintain learner records, assessments and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality construction training in line with qualification and funding requirements.
Plan and prepare engaging classroom-based and practical learning sessions.
Deliver practical construction skills training in a safe environment.
Assess learner knowledge, understanding and practical competence.
Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners achieve qualifications.
Maintain accurate learner records and training documentation.
Ensure training and assessment meet quality, compliance and safeguarding standards.
Contribute to learner progression and employer engagement.
