Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Clinical Liaison Nurse to support the Newborn Screening team based at the Sheffield Children’s site, covering South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw.

The role links the laboratory to the care of patients, involves community work and travel to clinics at other trusts, and requires a full UK driving licence with car access.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Child or Adult) or Registered Health Visitor or Registered Midwife and registered with the NMC/UK.
• Evidence of short courses in core Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Evidence of continued CPD including relevant courses with regards to H&S, leadership, quality or training.

Responsabilités

• Maintain efficiency of sample collection and transmission across the region.
• Ensure timely transmission of positive results to health professionals.
• Communicate screening results to parents and monitor PKU management via home visits and clinics.
