Join Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital as a New Grad RN Resident - Med/Surg. The role offers a one-year, accredited Nurse Residency program, with night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Avon Hospital is a Magnet-designated facility renowned for nursing excellence.

As an RN Resident you will deliver direct care, collaborate with a care team, and advance skills through structured modules, simulations and hands-on training while pursuing professional growth and safe patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification must be presented upon hire or within first year for Critical Care areas.
• New grad or <1 year RN experience or transitioning to acute inpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Join Avon Hospital as an RN Resident on Med-Surg, delivering direct nursing care.
• Interact with patients, families and visitors to enhance their experience and provide information.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum and guidance from a coach.
• Establish/prioritize patient care plans based on acuity, preferences, and resources.
• Document in patients’ medical records and seek supervision when needed.
• Work during nights 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. with weekends/holidays as required.
