Job summary

Everywhen, a dynamic and fast-growing specialist underwriting business, is seeking a New Business Property Underwriter for a hybrid role based in Colchester. You will underwrite and administer risks across new business within Delegated Underwriting Authority limits and produce accurate, compliant documentation through every stage of the underwriting process.

The ideal candidate will hold Cert CII (preferred) and bring a strong understanding of specialist market knowledge, regulatory insurance

• Comprehensive level of specialist market and product knowledge
• Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory insurance landscape
• Confident communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive approach balancing technical accuracy and commercial decision-making

What You Will Do As An Underwriter

• Underwrite and administer risks across new business within Delegated Underwriting Authority limits.
• Produce accurate, compliant documentation across all stages of the underwriting process.
• Demonstrate proactive follow‑up on risks and maintain a high standard of technical decision‑making.
• Develop and enhance your technical skills, continuously progressing your underwriting licence and product knowledge.
• Deliver high‑quality underwriting in line with our Quality Control framework.
• Trade confidently and effectively to meet productivity goals.
