New Build Supervisor – Volvo Construction Equipment – Guildford, WA

CJD Equipment is on the lookout for a motivatedNew Build Supervisorto join our high-performing team at theGuildford Branch. If you have a background in machinery assembly and a passion for leading others, this is your chance to step into a fast-paced role where no two days are the same.

Reporting to the State Service Manager, you’ll take the reins of our busy new build workshop—coordinating jobs, managing warranty and WIP, and ensuring seamless communication with internal teams. You’ll lead a dynamic group of workshop mechanics and admin professionals, helping to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

This role requires a motivated individual to drive results, motivate a team, and bring a can-do attitude that keeps everything moving in the right direction. We’re looking for someone who leads by example, thrives on organisation, and takes pride in getting things right the first time.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead, monitor and allocate jobs in the New Build Workshop
  • Control of workshop activities to ensure efficiency and customer deadlines are met
  • Ensure the workshop is working safely at all times and the correct procedures and PPE is being worn
  • Ensure all work is carried out within the manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Maintenance of Work in Progress ensuring all jobs are completed and invoiced promptly
  • Build positive relationship with internal stakeholders including the sales, parts and engineering departments
  • Ensure stakeholders are kept informed of delivery schedules

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant trade qualification and experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent time management skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Good understanding of a workshop environment
  • Willingness to learn and work with a great team
  • A good level of computer literacy
  • High-level communication skills
