SCINERGY Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Shift Operations Technician at a brand‑new Energy from Waste power station in Tilbury, Essex. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of high‑pressure boiler systems and associated plant via the DCS, with a team‑based shift pattern and ongoing commissioning activities.

You will monitor performance, carry out inspections, support start‑ups and planned maintenance, and contribute to environmental compliance as the site progresses toward full

Formación

• Experience in an operational or shift technician role within energy from waste or similar high‑pressure plant.
• Experience operating process plant using a DCS or equivalent control system.
• Relevant engineering qualification such as apprenticeship or NVQ/HNC.

Responsabilidades

• Start, stop and monitor high‑pressure boilers, steam turbines and associated plant via the DCS.
• Carry out regular plant inspections and adjust operations for safe, efficient performance.
• Monitor emissions and environmental parameters to ensure compliance.
• Support start‑ups, shutdowns, plant isolations and planned maintenance.
• Assist with commissioning, testing and optimisation as the site moves to operation.
• Maintain shift logs, handover information and plant checks.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance to maximise availability and reduce downtime.
• Promote health, safety and environmental standards across the site.
