Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London is offering a Neurosurgery Apprenticeship. You will support the Neurosurgery team with administrative tasks, patient communications, appointments, admissions and MDT coordination.

The apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in NHS administration and is supported by senior clinical staff. The role includes mentorship and structured learning with training on EPIC, Sectra, IEP, eRS and Excel to develop practical healthcare administration

Qualifications

• Maths and English grades A-C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admissions and bookings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support MDT meetings by preparing materials and following up on treatment plans.
• Manage waiting lists and patient communications for admissions.
• Book outpatient appointments and assist with general administrative tasks.
• Use EPIC to book admissions and arrange meetings.
• Maintain confidential patient records and respond to enquiries professionally.
