We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our team and work as Outpatients Clinic Receptionist within our Neurosciences Outpatients Department.
Applications are invited for this post with the successful candidate joining a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Good IT skills and ability to work well within a team with previous reception experience being essential.
Duties includes welcoming and arriving patients in house system, booking follow up appointments, preparing clinic lists, filing, data input, photocopying and handling telephone enquiries.
This is a full-time position and will be covering reception shift patterns between 08:30 and 17:30, working within an allocated roster. There will be a high level of contact with patients and colleagues from all professions and you will be expected to provide Receptionist/Clerical support and responsible for the smooth running of the clinic in this location.

· To reception clinics including, the welcoming of patients, booking follow up appointments, keeping patients informed of any delays to their appointment and maintaining accurate records of patient attendance, departure time, appointment outcome and ensuring patient’s personal details are updated. Ensuring that clinic outcomes are recorded in real time.
· To be responsible for the administrative organisation and smooth running of clinics, including the pulling and preparation of notes, the accurate recording, inputting of date related to the clinic and patients demographic details.
· Respond effectively to telephone communication in a polite and helpful manner, observing the need for discretion and courtesy. Taking responsibility for returning any follow up calls as necessary.
· Make appointments in a polite and helpful manner, following Trust Policies and Procedures.
