Qualifications

  • Experience in neuroscience research and a passion for understanding memory mechanisms.
  • Excellent IT skills and experience with data management systems.
  • Experience with data handling, management and analysis.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative research team is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design research experiments with Bristol and other institutions.
  • Develop a data management system for cross-institution data handling.
  • Manage rodent colonies and source/maintain lab stocks and consumables.
  • Gain expertise and train others in specialist techniques (electrophysiology, 2-photon microscopy, rodent behaviour, surgery).
  • Keep stakeholders updated with progress and options for discussion.
