Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in diagnostic Neuroradiology. The post sits within the Imaging Service, CSI, Clinical Management Group, and requires subspecialty neuroradiology training.

The successful candidate will join a team of 13 neuroradiology and head & neck radiologists, participate in emergency neuroradiology imaging, neuro-oncology MDTs, and attend related clinical meetings.

Qualifications

• Applicant will have undergone subspecialty training in neuroradiology.

Responsibilities

• Undertake programmed activities in diagnostic neuroradiology; opportunities to develop the service will be supported.
• Liaise with stroke and neurology services in specialist meetings.
• Join the neuroradiology on-call rota and provide weekend neuro-imaging support for the Imaging and Medical Physics CBU.
• Support neuro-oncology imaging and associated MDTs.
• Support imaging in stroke, pituitary, spine, ophthalmology and head & neck specialties.
• Support emergency imaging across UHL including mechanical thrombectomy and transfers to hub centres.
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to training of trainees and non-medical staff.
• Participate in audit, research, teaching and administration.
