Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust seeks a Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty in neuroradiology to join the Imaging Service. The role involves providing specialist neuroradiology and emergency neuroradiology imaging, and contributing to neuro-oncology services and related MDTs.

The post integrates with a team of neuroradiologists across sites, with opportunities for off-site work and SPA as negotiated, and a focus on education and development of the service.

Qualifications

• Must have subspecialty training in neuroradiology.
• Experience in emergency neuroradiology imaging is desirable.
• Participation in multidisciplinary neuro-oncology services.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic neuroradiology and neuroradiology imaging services.
• Collaborate with stroke and neurology teams.
• Join neuroradiology on-call rota and support weekend neuro-imaging coverage.
• Contribute to neuro-oncology imaging MDTs.
• Support imaging for stroke, pituitary, spine, ophthalmology and head & neck subspecialties.
• Assist emergency imaging across UHL and liaise with hub centre for transfers.
• Supervise junior staff and participate in teaching.
• Contribute to audit, REALM, research, teaching and administration.
