Job summary

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist to join a busy radiology department with two 128-slice CTs, two 1.5T MRI scanners, SPECT CT, and modern ultrasound and breast imaging services.

The post is full-time, with flexibility for part-time applicants, and includes opportunities for subspecialty interests and involvement in the Breast Centre and community imaging initiatives.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the GMC.
• Entry on Specialist Register for Radiology, or within 6 months of obtaining CCT.
• FRCR(UK) or equivalent.
• CCST or equivalent, or accreditation, and be on the GMC Specialist Register for the post.

Responsibilities

• Lead Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) discussions and contribute to Directorate strategy.
• Develop and oversee sub-speciality interests aligned with Trust needs.
• Teach, examine, and participate in undergraduate/postgraduate education.
• Support policy development and drive service improvements with the Associate Medical Director.
