Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Preston is inviting applications for a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist to lead EMG/EEG services across Preston and Chorley sites. You will work with a dynamic team, provide adult and paediatric neurophysiology, and contribute to intra-operative monitoring and video-telemetry development as applicable.

The role requires commitment to high clinical standards, CPD, and working within a busy NHS Trust serving 1.6 million in the region.

Responsibilities

• Specifically adopt, in conjunction with colleagues, an active role in the planning, development and delivery of the Neurophysiology Service for the Directorate.
• Provide direct input to patients, contribute to multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to the co-ordination of care as appropriate for patients within Preston and Chorley Hospitals.
• Assume a continuous commitment to patients as appropriate, even if employed less than full-time and ensure that adequate arrangements are made for leave and off duty periods.
• Promote high professional standards of clinical practice, both through direct patient involvement and by the maintenance of continuing professional development.
• Exercise the freedom to develop specialist elements of the services to reflect perceived priorities within available resources.
