Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust seeks a substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist to join the Neurology and Neurophysiology team at Hertford County Hospital. The post covers EMG clinics, EEG reporting and evoked potential testing, with occasional inpatient EMG at Lister Hospital.

The appointee will work alongside paediatrics, orthopaedics, plastic surgery and rheumatology, contribute to service planning, education and governance, and support flexible, patient‑centred care.

Qualifications

• Substantive Consultant Neurophysiologist required.
• Experience with EMG clinics, EEG reporting and evoked potentials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality patient-centered care.
• Shared responsibility for day-to-day management and strategic planning.
• Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service.
• Active involvement in MDT meetings and clinical governance.
• Ongoing participation in continuing medical education.
