Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is hiring three Clinical Fellows in Neurology to gain experience at a leading neuroscience centre. The position focuses on comprehensive adult neurological care including inpatient services, outpatient care, and teaching responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have a medical degree and a subspecialty interest.
The Neurology Service is seeking three Clinical Fellows to join the service.
The Clinical Fellow Neurology positions would be ideal for motivated, enthusiastic candidates wanting to gain experience in Sub-specialty Neurology in a regional neuroscience centre.
The Neurology Department provides comprehensive adult neurological care for both emergency and elective work. This includes an inpatient Neurology ward (Charing Cross), Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), a planned Neurological Treatment Unit (NTU), an Acute Neurology service, a wide range of sub-specialty outpatient clinics, and a number of Multi-disciplinary team meetings.
This is a large department with over 40 Consultant Neurologists linked to Imperial (based at Charing Cross, St. Mary’s, or Hammersmith Hospitals), many with clinical duties at allied District General Hospitals and/or research commitments within academic departments at Imperial College.
The Neurology department is complemented by the Hyperacute Stroke Unit, Neurosurgery Unit, Neuroradiology Department (with access to CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and interventional neuroradiology), and Neurophysiology Department.
The postholder will be expected to participate in the on-call rota.
The post will be full-time for twelve months, and applications from both pre- and post-CCT applicants will be considered. Candidates would ideally have a subspecialist interest in one of the following subspecialties: neuroinflammatory disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, or disorders of cognition. As Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust has services across multiple sites, the post-holders may be required to work at different sites on certain days of the week.
