Job summary

Brainkind in York seeks an experienced Turnaround Manager to lead the transformation programme for neurological rehabilitation services. The role focuses on clinical leadership, governance, and delivering a new model of care while ensuring high regulatory standards.

You will work closely with the Registered Manager, Transformation Manager, and executives to implement the redesign, monitor risks, and maintain continuity of care throughout the 12‑month contract.

Qualifications

• Clinical leadership experience in healthcare settings.
• Strong governance, quality assurance and risk management knowledge.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through change.
• Ability to analyse quality data and translate findings into action.
• Experience with CQC processes and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager through the CQC inspection and address actions.
• Strengthen clinical governance, quality assurance, safeguarding and risk management.
• Review audits, incidents, complaints and quality data; drive measurable actions.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold high care quality and safety.
• Lead service redesign with the Transformation Manager and ensure safe implementation.
• Coordinate introduction of the new care model across clinical and operational teams.
• Engage staff, align staffing with future needs and improve efficiency without compromising quality.
• Establish sustainable processes and complete a structured handover at end of contract.
