Job summary

East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust is recruiting a Clinical Support Worker for Caroline House, Norwich. This Band 3 role involves assisting with daily living, following care plans, and working with the MDT to support patients during neurological rehabilitation.

The post supports full and part-time shifts across days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Salary £25,760–£27,476 pro rata per annum, with interviews in person.

Qualifications

• Education to GCSE level Grade C in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• Care Certificate and or equivalent health care experience.
• City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Care/Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, visitors, and relatives to the clinical area, providing assistance, support and information where required. Be aware of barriers to effective communication and respond appropriately.
• Answer the telephone, when necessary, in a polite courteous manner and respond appropriately within remit and pass on enquiries to the Registered Nurse.
• Communicate effectively within the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team and other departments to ensure that patient care is well planned and coordinated.
• Contribute to the handover of the care of patients within the team under the direct supervision of a RN maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Report and record using the trust’s systems (Datix) of all incidents, accidents, and complaints to the senior nurse on duty.
• Use the System One and ICE and other trust systems as required by the clinical area.
