Job summary

Academics in London is seeking a Neurodiversity Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Waltham Forest from September or October 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role through the 2026/27 academic year.

The role supports pupils with SEN and behavioural needs across EYFS to KS2; graduates or passionate candidates are encouraged. Training, CPD opportunities and potential teacher training are available; salary is £95–£120 per day, paid weekly.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for supporting pupils with SEN.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SEN support for pupils across EYFS to KS2.
  • Work with an inclusive team to support learning.
  • Use initiative to support a range of children.
  • Participate in CPD opportunities and teacher training when available.
  • Support pupils with behavioural needs as required.

They are looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide support for their pupils with various special educational and emotional needs or those requiring additional guidance in their learning.

Neurodiversity comes in different forms and this primary school are passionate in ensuring children are supported in whichever way works best for them in order to thrive.

You will be working alongside an inclusive and compassionate team who are truly dedicated to getting it right for each pupil.

The ideal candidate for this Neurodiversity Teaching Assistant role would be either a graduate searching for the perfect role to start their career in education or an individual who is passionate about SEN who is looking to work with the best specialist staff and equipment.

Neurodiversity Teaching Assistant Job:
  • Teaching Assistant providing SEN Support
  • Starting September or October 2026
  • 95 - 120 per day (weekly pay)
  • Full-time, full academic year, term-time only.
  • Based in Waltham Forest, London
