Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) in Barnet invites applications for a part-time Band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (0.6 WTE) to join the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service at Holly Oak Clinic, Edgware Community Hospital.

The post holder will lead complex ASD/ADHD assessments, deliver pre- and post-diagnostic support, and manage a small therapy caseload within CAMHS, while working closely with families, schools and partner agencies to ensure joined-up care and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology with BPS accreditation.
• HCPC registration or eligibility to register as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead specialist neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people (ASD/ADHD).
• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual therapy and group programmes.
• Provide consultation, advice and support to families, schools and partner agencies.
• Manage a clinical caseload and supervise junior staff.
• Contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement.
