Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part‑time Band 8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Barnet CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service at Holly Oak Clinic, Edgware. You will lead neurodevelopmental assessments and provide pre- and post-diagnostic support for children and young people aged 6–18, in collaboration with families and schools.

Qualifications

• Experience of neurodevelopmental assessments in children and young people.
• HCPC registration or eligible for registration.
• Ability to supervise junior staff.
• Experience delivering ASD/ADHD assessments and interventions.
• Experience with group and individual psychological therapies.
• Experience working in MDT and multi-agency settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people.
• Lead on complex ASD/ADHD assessments and MDT decisions.
• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions (individ, group).
• Manage a clinical caseload, including therapy work within CAMHS.
• Provide consultation to families, schools, and partner agencies.
• Contribute to service development, audits, and training initiatives.
