Job summary

Oakdale invites applications for a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner to deliver neurodevelopmental assessments within the Early Years pathway. You will assess children and young people, present diagnoses in collaboration with MDTs, and ensure high-quality documentation.

The role offers hybrid working across Harrogate and surrounding centres, with ongoing professional development, supervision, and access to a comprehensive policy framework. Travel between centres is expected.

Qualifications

• Direct competency or certification in neurodevelopmental assessment tools and measures (e.g., ADOS-2, SCQ, ADI-R, DIVA).
• Active registration with one regulatory body (NMC / HCPC / Social Work England).
• Experience producing high-quality clinical documentation and robust multi-source formulations.
• Ability to work within safeguarding, risk management and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people.
• Work autonomously or in MDTs to form robust clinical formulations and diagnostic conclusions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and complete documentation within agreed timescales.
• Participate in MDT discussions and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
• Travel between Oakdale centres as required and use digital systems for reporting.
