Job summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust in Newcastle is seeking a confident Clinical Psychologist to join the neurodevelopmental assessment team across Newcastle and Gateshead.

You will lead assessment and formulation of complex neurodevelopmental presentations, supervise junior staff, contribute to teaching and service development, and work within a supportive multidisciplinary network to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Doctoral level training in clinical psychology with HCPC registration.
• Pre-qualification training in research methodology or related fields.
• Formal training in neurodevelopmental assessment measures (ADOS, ADI-R).
• HCPC registered practitioner psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment and formulation of complex neurodevelopmental presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Newcastle and Gateshead.
• Supervise assistant psychologists and trainees; provide teaching and supervision.
• Engage in teaching, training, service evaluation and research as needed.
• Develop leadership and service development initiatives within the team.
