Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Neurology and Stroke Team. The post is full-time (37.5 hours) and rotates across the Neuro rehab unit in Hayle, and the Acute stroke unit at Treliske, with potential future rotation to the Neurology ward.

You will deliver expert neurological physiotherapy, participate in on-call respiratory duties, and contribute to research, training and career development within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
• Health Care Professions Council registration.
• Member of CSP.
• Member of relevant Special Interest Group.
• Understanding of opportunities/limitations of being based in Cornwall.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard Physiotherapy service to patients in Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust.
• Specialist neurological assessment, treatment and goal setting for neurological conditions.
• Maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
• Develop highly specialist skills under guidance of Team Leads.
• Provide clinical cross-cover within the team as delegated by Team Lead.
• Attend clinical discussions/meetings related to your area of work.
