Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join the neuro rehabilitation ward at Moseley Hall Hospital. You will work with inpatients who have had strokes and other neurological conditions, alongside Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, delivering progressive rehabilitation to maximise functional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists with the assessment and ongoing therapeutic management of neuro in-patients.
• Assist in delivering the Therapy Service within the unit, the community and pre-discharge home assessments.
• Report back to the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists on the outcomes of delegated treatments.
• Work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to support neuro rehabilitation.
• Provide flexible cover across neuro rehabilitation beds as required.
