Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Neurosciences team on a substantive or fixed-term secondment to June 2027. The role focuses on specialist assessment and rehabilitation for stroke and neurological conditions, managing a complex caseload and leading on discharges.

You will supervise junior OT staff and students, work with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience in stroke/neurological rehabilitation and complex caseloads.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with stroke and neurological conditions.
• Manage a complex caseload with evidence-based, patient-centred interventions.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments across physical, cognitive, perceptual, sensory, functional and psychosocial needs.
• Deliver individualised rehabilitation programmes.
• Provide equipment and lead on complex discharges.
• Supervise junior OT staff, therapy assistants and students.
• Contribute to service development and evidence-based neurological rehabilitation.
• Practise to the RCOT Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct; be accountable as an autonomous practitioner.
• Keep current with evidence and take part in audit and research.
