Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Occupational Therapist to contribute to neurological rehabilitation within the IDT. You will work across in- and outpatients, under Senior OT supervision, to plan and deliver therapy that advances patient recovery.

You will document interventions in line with NHS and OUH guidelines, contribute to goal setting, and participate in discharge planning with health and social care partners. This role is hospital-based and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Undertake occupational therapy assessment and treatment for in- and outpatients in the Neurological Rehabilitation Service under supervision of Senior OTs.
• Assist Lead/Senior OTs in day-to-day supervision and delegation of routine OT activities to assistants/technicians.
• Record all OT interventions in line with OUH, Royal College of Occupational Therapy and NHS guidelines.
• Continuously evaluate OT interventions to maintain high clinical/professional standards.
• Carry out discharge home visits with health and social care agencies to plan equipment/care needs and refer onward services.
• Work as part of the IDT providing neurological rehabilitation individually and in groups.
• Agree and set IDT rehabilitation goals with the treating team during goal planning meetings.
