Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist for Neuro Rehab. The role combines community-based neuro rehabilitation (West Berkshire) and inpatient neuro rehabilitation at West Berkshire Community Hospital, Thatcham, with a total of 37.5 hours per week and a fixed full-time contract.

You will work within an MDT, undertake neurological assessments, coordinate discharges, and support service improvement while promoting professional development and

Qualifications

Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Valid driving license with access to vehicle for home visits.

Responsibilities

Assess and rehabilitate patients with neurological conditions as part of the MDT.
Plan and implement specialist OT interventions across community and inpatient settings.
Coordinate complex discharges and assess equipment needs.
Provide specialist advice and education to patients, carers and colleagues.
Supervise Therapy Assistants and students.
Contribute to service development and clinical governance.
