Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist for a neuro rotation based at NUH. This full-time, permanent post offers exposure to stroke rehabilitation, regional neurology and neurosurgical wards, and outpatient neuro rehabilitation.

You will work autonomously and within a MDT, delivering evidence-based OT interventions, with supervision and training support to develop clinically and professionally. Weekend/Bank holiday rotas may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in stroke/neuro rehabilitation and neurology settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a MDT.

Responsibilities

• Hold responsibility for own caseload of patients requiring complex rehabilitation.
• Contribute to supervision and education of rotational therapists.
• Be professional and legally accountable for all aspects of own work.
• Undertake specialist assessments using advanced clinical reasoning.
• Formulate and deliver specialised occupational therapy treatment programmes.
