Job summary

Focus Group is seeking an IT Solutions Engineer focused on Networking, home-based in the Camberley area with 3-4 days travel to customer sites. Salary £40,000 per year plus van or car allowance. You will lead network projects, design LAN/WAN/SD-WAN solutions and mentor peers in a fast-growing technology services company.

You'll work with Meraki, Aruba, Cisco, SonicWall and Ubiquiti to deliver reliable infrastructure, security and cloud considerations for SME to enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Proven IT support or infrastructure delivery experience.
• Networking expertise: VLANs, routing/switching, WAN/SD-WAN, firewalls, wireless design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with documentation standards.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain valued customers’ IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services and end-user devices.
• Lead network projects from start to finish and act as escalation point for complex faults.
• Troubleshoot advanced infrastructure issues across Windows Server, virtualization, networking and cloud platforms.
• Design, implement and migrate enterprise network solutions (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN) with vendor suites.
• Mentor engineers and document runbooks; ensure knowledge transfer and readiness assessments.
