Job summary

Richmond and Wandsworth Better Service Partnership is seeking a Network & Telecoms Analyst to support and maintain the council’s network infrastructure across Richmond and Wandsworth. The role focuses on high availability, security and performance for wired and wireless connectivity, incident resolution and ongoing improvements.

You will contribute to day‑to‑day network operations, manage faults, and support upgrades and transformation projects within a live public service environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise network technologies (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Understanding of network monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practice
  • Experience with network hardware such as switches, routers and wireless solutions
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication with technical and non‑technical colleagues
  • Ability to work in a live service environment

Salary Range: £46,206 – £62,451 per annum

Permanent – Fulltime

Richmond and Wandsworth Better Service Partnership is a shared public service organisation supporting Richmond and Wandsworth Councils. We deliver vital services to our communities and are continually evolving our Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT) function to be more agile, secure and resilient.

A position exists within the Network & Telecoms team for a Network Analyst. In this role, you will support and maintain the council’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security and performance across sites and services.

You will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operation of the network, helping to support wired and wireless connectivity, resolve incidents, and contribute to ongoing improvements and transformation projects.

What we’re looking for

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Experience working in a public sector or complex multi‑site organisation
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid networking (e.g. Azure networking)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Aruba, Fortinet, SolarWinds or similar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice, SIP, SBCs, Direct Routing and call flow fundamentals.
