Network Support Manager – Gas

Location: Based in Guernsey (relocation from the UK required)

Our client, a leading provider of safe, reliable, and sustainable gas and energy solutions, is seeking a Network Support Manager to oversee the safe operation of gas networks and sites in Guernsey. The role ensures the highest safety and compliance standards, network integrity, and accurate record management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Gas Safe Operations Oversight: Coordinate network activities, manage operational impacts, and resolve safety and supply conflicts.
2. Gas Distribution Compliance & Competency: Manage authorized personnel registers, validate competencies, and ensure qualifications and audits are up-to-date.
3. Gas Distribution Operational Control: Record and monitor operations under Safe Control procedures, maintaining procedural integrity.
4. Gas Distribution Asset Integrity Support: Support risk reduction strategies and evaluate network integrity decisions.
5. Operational Oversight & Data Management: Oversee network modelling, odour monitoring, and maintain accurate digital, GIS, and failure data records.
6. Team & Service Delivery: Manage two Technical Assistants across Jersey and Guernsey, ensuring objectives set by leadership are achieved.

We seek an experienced Gas Distribution Support Manager with a keen interest in relocating from the UK to Guernsey.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or 5+ years of gas industry experience
• Experience with Safe Control of Operations (SCO)
• 5+ years in operations or asset management
• Familiarity with GIS and UK Gas Safety Regulations
• Gas Safe Registered Engineer
• Results-oriented with high standards
• High integrity, adaptable, and able to manage pressure
• Self-starter with a hands-on approach
• Full driving licence and police check clearance
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (UK)
• Experience with Gas network modelling tools
• Background in risk management and mains/service replacement
• Knowledge of COMAH and meter asset management
