Network Solutions Architect
- The Network Solution Architect is responsible for the technical ownership of the organisation’s global network platforms, providing subject matter expertise and acting as the primary escalation point for significant technical issues.
- The role supports and oversees IT project delivery, including resource management and task planning. It also involves defining standards, policies, and documentation for operational maintenance.
- This role requires strong collaboration across teams and regions, managing vendor relationships at a technical level on behalf of PD-ITSD.
- The Network Solution Architect is a key member of the Network and Data Centre team, responsible for implementing and managing a critical infrastructure comprising Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto, and Network Monitoring systems.
Position Description
- The Network Solution Architect holds technical ownership of key IT systems across EMEA, requiring broad technical skills, excellent communication, project management, and the ability to support operational and strategic projects. The role involves mentoring junior staff and sharing knowledge with related IT teams.
- The primary focus is maintaining oversight of existing systems and developing new IT solutions for the organisation's benefit.
- In partnership with the Infrastructure Architect, the role involves designing, supporting implementation, and operationalizing new technology platforms, as well as developing network design and configuration standards.
- The architect works within a dedicated team focused on specific technologies but maintains relationships with other IT teams across EMEA and North America.
