Job summary

BT Group is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to deliver professional technical support on complex cyber security deployments across UK contracts. You will build trusted relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams to meet deadlines and ensure security outcomes.

You will act as the incident decision maker for cyber/network security, providing remediation guidance and ensuring appropriate mitigation controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of CompTIA Network+ / Equal Certification plus the listed firewall engineering skills.
• Experience in cyber/network security deployments across UK contracts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional technical support on complex network security deployments.
• Liaise with customers and vendors, directing support staff as needed.
• Own integration testing on new products and services with supporting documentation.
• Provide security advice and remediation to Lines of Business within BT and external customers.

About the role

This role exists to provide Professional technical support on complex network security and cyber security deployments for any and all of our UK contracts. Building intermate working relationships and trust through effective communication and meeting expectation and deadlines is key. Liaising with customer representatives or vendors and directing other support staff where appropriate will form part of the role.

What you’ll be doing

• One key thing that all of our engineers have in common is a desire to develop/deliver brilliant, industry redefining platforms as well as their own skills.
• We need you to be a cyber/ networking security incident decision maker, responsible for ensuring that mitigation controls and incident response are appropriate
• Providing security advice and remediation to Lines of Business within BT and external customers,
• Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation
• Postiviely support team leader and line manager.

Essential Skills / Experience

Minimum of CompTIA Network +/ Equal Certification plus the below Firewall Engineering Skillset:
