BT Group in Hatfield is seeking a Network Security Specialist to provide specialist technical support on complex security deployments for BT contracts. You will build trusted relationships with customer representatives and vendors and lead others where needed to meet deadlines.

The role requires hands-on expertise in modern security platforms, incident response, and cloud security across Azure and AWS. A proactive, self-managed approach and strong communication are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer with expertise in network security platforms (CompTIA Network+ and Security+).
• Experience with Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FirePower, Palo Alto, Azure/AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python/Go/Bash) and Linux/Unix; understanding of TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support on complex network security deployments.
• Be cyber incident decision maker for mitigation and response.
• Provide security advice and remediation to BT Lines of Business and external customers.
• Complete integration testing on new products and services with documentation.
• Support team leader and line manager.
• Safeguard sensitive customer information at all times.
